The course’s goal is to introduce basic concepts and theories from
the field of conflict resolution and conflict management which would be used
for critical analysis of the various case studies. The course will examine
the success of practical efforts to deal with violent conflicts, particularly
how the theory can provide countries and organizations (NATO, the UN, the EU
etc.) solutions for the difficult challenge of dealing with violent conflicts
